In terms of regional distribution, there are 27 new gigabit cities in the eastern region, 38 new gigabit cities in the central region, and 32 new gigabit cities in the western region.

“Double Gigabit” network development

As of the end of October 2023, the average urban household Gigabit optical network coverage in Gigabit cities will exceed 100%, and the Gigabit optical network has the ability to cover all Gigabit urban households. The average number of 5G base stations per 10,000 people in Gigabit cities has reached 21.2 per 10,000 people, the average proportion of 10G-PON ports has reached 53.7%, the average proportion of users with 500Mbps and above has reached 33.2%, and the average proportion of 5G users has reached 49.2%.

5G network coverage in key places

The 5G network accessibility rate in key places such as municipal public hospitals (level 3 and above), key universities, key cultural tourism areas, railway stations with passenger transport services (level 2 and above), trunk airports, and key roads in gigabit cities all exceed 99.5%. Indicators such as 5G network signal level meet relevant construction standards, and the 5G accessibility rate in 91 key urban locations reached 100%.

Accelerate the construction of border broadband
