1 Bugs currently encountered in iOS 17

1. Opening “Apple Music” may crash;

2. The keyboard may flash back;

3. When opening “QQ”, there is a possibility of crashing;

4. “Search” in “Kuaishou” may crash;

5. “Phone” and “WeChat” may display incomplete pages;

6. “Screen Time” has a probability that the histogram will disappear;

7. After entering the account number and password in the login interface of some applications, there is a probability that the keyboard cannot exit;

8. Re-recording Face ID may cause the need to re-enter facial data;

9. The status bar signal and WiFi icon may be lost;

10. There is a high probability of crashing when playing voice messages in “QQ” and “WeChat”;

11. Sending emojis in “Weibo” and “Taobao” may crash;

12. Third-party keyboards may fail to close the input method in the pull-down search;

13. Exiting some applications may trigger a system restart;

14. After returning to the desktop after using the Stand By mode, occasionally the wallpaper will be displayed horizontally;

15. “Taobao” may crash when opening “Tmall Supermarket”;

16. There is a probability of crashing when setting “Apple Music” in the settings;

17. Siri cannot open “Apple Music”;

18. There is a probability that the verification code cannot be filled in automatically;

19. The lock screen font setting interface may appear blurred;

20. Netizens reported memory swallowing after upgrading to iOS 17 (300GB of memory was swallowed, and restarting did not work).

The above 19 items are the bugs I encountered during the use of the last two days, and the last one is a bug reported by netizens. Although it has little impact on daily use in general, it is still not recommended for non-professional users to upgrade and try it out.

2 iOS 17 compatible devices

After talking about bugs, let’s take a look at the models compatible with iOS 17. The current official news is that iOS 17 will be compatible with the following 20 models:

iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11 , iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone SE 2, and iPhone SE 3.

Earlier iPhone X, iPhone 8 series and earlier models will no longer be compatible with iOS 17 updates.

3 iOS 17 upgrades content experience

StandBy (standby)

In addition to the iPhone 14 Pro series that supports the screen display, the iPhone 13 Pro series also supports it (it is not clear whether ordinary models support it, and you are welcome to add it).

However, this angle is quite tricky. If the fuselage is tilted, there is a high probability that StandBy will not be triggered. Perhaps Apple will launch related stand equipment in the future.

Automatic Captcha Clear

In the Settings-Password-Password option, SMS verification codes now support the automatic clearing function, which is very good for users who often clear SMS messages.

Siri upgrade

Siri on iOS 17 can reduce the wake-up word to “Siri”, but the Chinese version of Siri has not yet added this option.

In the iPhone storage space, APPs can now be sorted by size, name, and last used time.
