Regarding the signing of the Kyoto Tower naming rights agreement and its official opening as “Nidec Kyoto Tower”

Nidec Co., Ltd. has signed a naming rights agreement with Keihan Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd., the operator of Kyoto Tower (located in Shimokyo-ku, Kyoto City), and is hereby notified.
The facility will be officially opened to the public under the new name “Nidec Kyoto Tower” starting on April 1, 2024.
Kyoto Tower, which was officially opened in December 1964, aims to play an important role as a major center for industry, culture, and tourism and contribute to the development of Kyoto City. Since its opening, Kyoto Tower has always been the tallest building in Kyoto, playing the role of an “urban beacon” and constantly injecting new vitality into the development of Kyoto.
Since its establishment in Nishikyo-ku in July 1973, Nidec Co., Ltd., as a multinational enterprise started in Kyoto, has always aimed to “become a powerful comprehensive motor manufacturer in the world” and has developed together with Kyoto to this day.
The signing of this naming rights agreement is the first attempt for both Nidec and Kyoto Tower. Keihan Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd.’s vision of contributing to local development through Kyoto Tower is in line with Nidec Co., Ltd.’s promotion as a Kyoto enterprise. And consistent with the vision of supporting local economic development, the signing of this agreement was reached.
Nidec Co., Ltd. will continue to aim to become “a company as well-known to Kyoto people as Kyoto Tower” in the future, provide indispensable products to the world, and provide support for the healthy development of society.
