Haidilao protects customers’ dining safety by opening “Hi Food Safety Mini Classroom” and food safety training


Food safety management is a very important link in the operation of Haidilao restaurants. Over the years, Haidilao has never stopped innovating and investing in the field of food safety, and has formed a “full chain, all-round, and fully mobilized” food safety management system. In 2023, Haidilao will popularize food safety to the public and enhance the public’s food safety awareness by holding the “High Food Safety Classroom” activity with the theme of “Stick to food at all times and travel safely with children”. At the same time, Haidilao actively carries out regular first aid training internally to ensure the dining safety of every customer.

Starting from June 2023, many Haidilao stores have successively carried out “High Food Safety Classroom” activities, inviting customers as a family to the store to experience the daily work of Haidilao’s “One-Day Food Safety Officer”. “One-day Food Safety Officer” is Haidilao’s first food safety management mechanism in the industry in 2019, which allows all employees to have a red line awareness of food safety and inspect, supervise and check for leaks on the day’s food safety work through rotation. Filling the gaps and achieving full participation in food safety work has strengthened Haidilao’s food safety defense line.

While paying close attention to food safety, Haidilao’s quality and safety management department has also become more and more detailed in its management of store safety. In January this year, the Haidilao Quality and Safety Management Center teamed up with the Beijing and Xi’an Red Cross to conduct intensive training on Heimlich and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for offline store employees, so that customers can do their best to help when an accident occurs while dining.

According to reports, every employee of Haidilao will receive systematic first aid training when joining the company, including cardiac arrest, foreign objects stuck in the throat, epileptic seizures, accidental injuries, etc., and all employees must master the corresponding technical essentials.

Food safety is the cornerstone of the long-term development of the catering industry, and it is the responsibility of catering businesses to ensure the safety of customers when dining. Haidilao has built systems, systems, tools and other dimensions to ensure that front-line employees can implement food safety work in every detail and comprehensively protect customers’ dining safety.
