　　On January 7, the 4th China Hematology Development Conference announced the “Top Ten Research Progress in Hematology in China in 2023”.

The “Top Ten Research Progress in Hematology in China” selection event was initiated by the China Hematology Development Conference. It has been successfully held for four times since 2020. It aims to record, display and promote major scientific progress and landmarks in the field of hematology research in my country. The results demonstrate my country’s hematology research strength and academic level, inspire doctors and scientific and technological workers in the field of hematology to further fulfill their mission and pursue excellence, promote public understanding, care and support for hematology research, and create a good scientific atmosphere in the whole society.

The scientific advances recommended in the “Top Ten Research Progress in Hematology in China in 2023” are all research results that were publicly published between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, and whose core scientific discoveries were completed in China. The organizing committee of the China Hematology Development Conference issued nomination invitations to 78 experts in 16 subcategories of hematology. After multiple rounds of organization and extensive recommendations from experts, 19 developments were selected for the final selection. The final selection adopts online voting, and invites academicians of the two academies related to the field of blood, the Hematology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the Experimental Hematology Professional Committee of the Chinese Pathophysiology Society, the Hematology Physiology Professional Committee of the Chinese Physiological Society, and the Hematology and Tumor Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association. Experts such as the Hematology Institutions Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association, the Working Committee of the Chinese Hematology Specialty Alliance, the Editorial Board of the “Chinese Journal of Hematology”, and the Chinese Editorial Board of “Blood Science” conducted online voting. A total of 126 valid votes were received, and the ranking was ranked by the number of votes. The top 10 were selected into the “Top Ten Research Progress in Hematology in China in 2023”. The progress selected this time takes into account both clinical and basic research, and has the characteristics of outstanding originality, distinctive innovation, and great social significance.
