“Influenza was quite popular some time ago, and people are generally susceptible. Students gather together for collective activities, and it is easy for children to be infected if they are infected. “Similarly infected with influenza, most children who have been vaccinated obviously have a shorter course of illness and faster recovery.” Based on the outpatient situation, Zhang Weiyan reminded that vaccination is an important way to reduce influenza infection. Although it is difficult to completely eliminate infection after vaccination, It can effectively reduce the risk of infection and severe illness, so it is recommended to get influenza vaccination before the influenza season.

“Now many students have developed the habit of washing hands and ventilating frequently. When they cough or sneeze, they also consciously cover it with tissues or elbows, and wash their hands in time.” Zhang Weiyan said that good living and hygiene habits play an important role in preventing campus infectious diseases. In a positive sense, judging from the current situation, the risk of infectious diseases in most campuses is not high.

Preventing infectious diseases on campus and improving one’s own resistance are also important. “But it is worth noting that obesity and lack of exercise are increasingly affecting children’s health.” Zhang Weiyan said that during the consultation process, children often have unhealthy and unreasonable diets, obesity is more common, and there is less exercise, resulting in Weak resistance and susceptible to disease.

Data show that the overweight and obesity rate among children and adolescents aged 6-17 in my country is close to 20%, and the overweight and obesity rate among children under 6 years old is about 10%. “After school starts, children are under great pressure to study and their exercise time is relatively reduced. Parents should urge their children to strengthen physical exercise and avoid sitting for long periods of time. This can not only enhance children’s immunity, but also relieve children’s study pressure and prevent children from being in a sub-healthy state.” Zhang Weiyan said.

“Children and adolescents in the acute infection period are not recommended to engage in exercise and should rest as much as possible to ensure adequate sleep time.” Zhang Weiyan added.
