The 19th Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou from September 23 to October 8. At that time, Hangzhou will welcome 12,500 athletes and 2 million spectators from 45 countries and regions in Asia. Tianjin China Unicom carefully organized and arranged, selected four emergency response backbones, and dispatched two emergency communication base station vehicles. It lasted two days and traveled more than 1,400 kilometers to Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province to provide high-quality services for the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games. Quality around-the-clock emergency communications guarantee.

According to the overall arrangements of the Asian Games Organizing Committee and the group company, Tianjin Unicom is responsible for providing communication support for the beach volleyball and sailing venues for this Asian Games. China Unicom Tianjin and China Unicom Ningbo jointly established a support team to promptly determine the support plan and work responsibilities, and quickly conduct practical emergency support drills. The emergency response team members modified and upgraded the vehicles to further enhance emergency support capabilities and lay a solid foundation for foolproof communication support for the Asian Games. The team members participated in laying more than 80 meters of cables and more than 100 meters of optical cables. They also cooperated with local network optimization departments to readjust emergency vehicle equipment board data and 4G/5G antenna indicators according to the actual local network conditions to achieve 4G/5G Comprehensive signal coverage. So far, all network indicators on site are normal, and athletes and the public have a good experience using the network, which has been highly recognized and praised by the Asian Organizing Committee.

During the re-insurance period, the team members overcame various difficulties such as the difficult journey, acclimatization, and difficult food and accommodation. They were on call from 6 a.m. to 22:00 every day and stayed on the front line of re-insurance throughout the entire process, working for up to 16 hours. In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment in optimal conditions, the team members charged forward and faced difficulties. They conducted multiple statistical analyzes on the operation of the equipment in the morning, middle and evening, fully carrying forward the spirit of “excellent politics and excellent work style”. The fine tradition of “strong ability, strong culture” demonstrates the Iron Army spirit of “drawing out, rushing forward, and winning”, and fulfills the role of “national team, main force, and vanguard” with practical actions.

In the next step, Tianjin China Unicom will continue to provide communication support for the Hangzhou Asian Games, give full play to the advantages of Internet technology and 5G networks, further improve the actual combat capabilities of the emergency response team, provide ingenious services, and escort the Asian Games.
