The first membership meeting of the Tianjin Mental Health Service Association was successfully held at Tianjin Anding Hospital
In order to implement the strategic deployment of building a healthy China, improve the mental health service network, strengthen the construction of the mental health talent team, cultivate mental health awareness, maximize the needs of the people for mental health services, enhance the people’s mental health literacy, and improve the city’s mental health service level. On October 8, 2023, the Tianjin Mental Health Service Association held its first first membership meeting at Tianjin Anding Hospital. Director Chang Wenqing and deputy director Li Ming of the Tianjin Medical Association Management Office, Tianjin Anding Hospital Party Committee Secretary Yan Zhongfang, President Li Jie, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Geng Dongli, and Vice President Shi Gang attended the meeting. More than 40 mental health workers from universities, public medical institutions and social institutions in Tianjin attended the conference. Dr. Zhang Bin of Tianjin Anding Hospital presided over the meeting.
At the membership meeting, Li Jie, president of Tianjin Anding Hospital, expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the meeting on behalf of the sponsoring unit, and extended a warm welcome to the experts, scholars and member representatives who attended the meeting. Geng Dongli, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Tianjin Anding Hospital, gave an explanation of the preparatory work on behalf of the preparatory team of the Mental Health Service Association. The “Tianjin Mental Health Service Association Charter” and the “Tianjin Mental Health Service Association Election Method” were reviewed and approved at the meeting. The directors and supervisors of the first council of the Tianjin Mental Health Service Association were approved by a show of hands, and the candidates for the first president, vice president, and secretary-general were selected by secret ballot. Geng Dongli was elected president of the first council of the association, Mao Fuqiang and other six people became vice presidents of the first council of the association, and Zhang Bin was elected secretary-general of the first council of the association.
The newly elected president Geng Dongli made a statement on behalf of the association’s board members and introduced the association’s recent work arrangements. Chang Wenqing, director of the Tianjin Medical (Association) Management Office, put forward requirements for the next step of the Tianjin Mental Health Service Association. He emphasized that the association’s work has a long way to go, and hoped that the association would adhere to its service purpose, build an advantageous platform, and carry out comprehensive and forward-looking work. , valuable and high-level academic research and scientific research.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the first membership meeting of the Tianjin Mental Health Service Association was successfully held to gather professional and social forces to create a model of mental health services in Tianjin, cultivate regional professionals, and establish a regional work platform , to help the city’s social and mental health services develop further.
