On August 22, the 6th China Nanhe Pet Industry Expo (referred to as “Pet Expo”) and the press conference of the International Trade Fair were held in Beijing. The theme of this year’s Pet Expo is “Beautiful Xingtai Pets in Taihang Spring City in Nanhe”, hosted by the Nanhe District Committee and District Government of Xingtai City, Hebei Province, and will be held in Nanhe District from September 15th to 17th.

Since 2017, Nanhe District has successfully held 5 pet industry expos, attracting more than 1,000 exhibitors from the United States, Japan, Italy, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and other places, and reaching a transaction volume of 18 billion yuan.
In recent years, Nanhe District has taken the pet industry as an important starting point for actively expanding investment and promoting industrial development, extending the industrial chain, upgrading the value chain, and building a supply chain. In 2022, the pet food industry cluster will realize an operating income of 15 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%, and it is expected to exceed 20 billion yuan in 2023. There are more than 11,000 pet-related market players in the region, and the top ten pet food companies in the country occupy 4 seats, ranking first in the country. Planned and implemented a pet industrial park with an investment of 5 billion yuan and a area of 6.1 square kilometers, and invested 650 million yuan to build a return home entrepreneurial building with a total area of 200,000 square meters, an e-commerce incubation base and a standardized factory building in the double innovation park. Nanhe District has been awarded honorary titles such as “Hometown of China’s Pet Food”, National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Pet Products, Food), Hebei Province Pet Industry Famous Area, “Provincial Rural Revitalization Demonstration Area”, and the pet food industry cluster was selected The “3910” industrial layout of Hebei Province and the demonstration industrial cluster of small and medium-sized enterprises in Hebei Province are listed as one of the 10 characteristic industrial clusters that Hebei Province will focus on.
In the next step, Nanhe District will fully promote the upgrading of the pet industry, continue to deepen cooperation with scientific research institutes, and support pet industry enterprises to participate in the formulation of national standards. Focusing on the entire industrial chain of pets’ “clothing, food, housing, and transportation” and the entire life cycle of “birth, old age, illness, and death”, we will continue to improve the industrial system of pet medicines, toys, furniture, and smart wearables, accelerate the creation of industrial clusters worth 100 billion yuan, and create an internationally influential “China The Capital of the Pet Industry”.
