(Penang News) Deputy Minister of Education Lin Huiying said that today’s education methods are inseparable from technology. The Deputy Minister made the above remarks when presiding over the opening ceremony of the smart all-in-one machine at Penang Pei Sun School on Monday. The school’s 12 smart all-in-one computers worth RM156,000 were donated by the Penang branch of the World Chinese Business Women’s Business Management Association. Today, the association’s president Huang Yiyan and founding president Datuk Cheng Meiman handed over mock checks to the school’s board of directors and the Parent-Teacher Association.

She hopes that the school can make good use of smart all-in-one computers to make teaching more creative and dynamic, stimulate students’ interest in learning, and allow them to grow in happiness.

Lin Huiying pointed out that the Ministry of Education has been working hard to reform the education system, including promoting digital textbooks to solve the problem of students’ overweight school bags. Currently, the Ministry has uploaded 754 digital textbooks to the Digital Education Learning Initiative Malaysia (DELIMa) platform. In the face of technological and digital reforms, it is necessary to have a generation that is proficient in digital technology, which is crucial to the future development of our country.

She emphasized that the United Government has always been very supportive of Chinese education. She said that today’s smart education system is the basic teaching equipment and learning method. The application of smart all-in-one computers in classrooms will help improve teaching effectiveness, making teachers’ teaching more flexible and students’ learning more focused and fun.

Huang Yiyan, president of the Penang branch of the World Chinese Business Women in Business Administration Association, revealed that the association learned about the situation faced by the school and saw that many dilapidated equipment needed to be updated. Therefore, after discussion, the directors decided to raise funds for the August gala dinner. The school raises funds to purchase a smart all-in-one computer.

She said that the original goal was to raise 3 units, but in the end, 12 smart all-in-one computers were successfully raised. This is an unexpected result for the club, and she thanks all the kindhearted people and donors for their donations.
