Xiji No. 1 Primary School is the largest primary school in Ningxia. Among the 6,000 students, 1,300 students came from registered households. In 2018, CPIC’s “Happy World” national symphony tour came to Yinchuan, Ningxia, and the Xiji Xiaoxiao Choir was invited to Yinchuan to perform on the same stage with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. When the children sang “Flowers Singing Flowers” and “Liupan Mountain High and the Yellow River Wide” with their clear and loud voices, they received thunderous and endless applause from the scene. For the first time, the children felt the glory and joy of performing with world-renowned orchestras and famous conductors on the big stage.
In 2019, China Pacific Insurance invited the Xiji Xiaoxiao Choir to the New Year’s Concert in Shenzhen Station of “Music in the World”, once again bringing the sounds of nature. In the Shenzhen Concert Hall, Chen Xieyang, then the conductor of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, took a photo with the children and said to the children: “Study hard, and try to get admitted to a university in Shanghai and see the big world of Shanghai.You like music and singing, and I welcome you to visit the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in the future and enjoy its performance. “

The Second Movement – Building Dreams
In 2020, inspired by the dream of “happy travel to the world”, and in order to allow more children to learn talents, Xiji Primary School officially established a wind music club, formed and trained by professional teachers. Most of the children’s musical instruments were donated by the society and purchased by the school. Although the beginning was simple, the enthusiasm of the teachers and students was high, and a wind band of more than 40 people was soon formed. After training, the children have been able to play more than 10 pieces of music, and have won many awards in various competitions in Xiji County and Guyuan City.
At the same time, thanks to the selfless donation of the company’s business partners, China Pacific Insurance Ningxia Branch established the “One Drop of Water” public welfare project, and plans to carry out education aid for Xiji Primary School, including sponsoring poor students with excellent academic performance to go to The study tour in Shanghai provides opportunities to increase knowledge, and at the same time encourages children to study hard and use knowledge to change their destiny.

The third movement – dream come true
On this spring day, China Pacific Insurance launched the first study tour. The children of Xiji Primary School came to Shanghai to visit the site of a large conference, play Disney, explore the Science and Technology Museum, visit the night view of the Pujiang River, and walk into college campuses and offices of China Pacific Insurance. …Of course, there is also a musical appointment with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.

On March 14, the teachers and students of Xiji Primary School finally came to the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, which they had been thinking about so much. Under the guidance of the instructors, they experienced the ingenious architectural structure of the concert hall and the long history of the orchestra. In order to allow children to enjoy the first-class music experience and teaching, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra specially arranged two zero-distance music interactions. Through the performance explanation of the trumpet player and the live rehearsal of the string quartet, the children can enjoy the wonderful melody At the same time, I learned the basics of orchestral music. During the interaction, Mr. Xue, the leader of the wind band of Xiji Primary School, exchanged his experience in orchestra training with the performers. This year, China Pacific Insurance will continue to sponsor the second and third batches of children from Xiji Primary School, leading them to realize their dreams in Shanghai.

Since China Pacific Insurance donated and built the first Hope Primary School in Zibo, Shandong Province in 1996, it has successively donated and built more than 60 Hope Primary Schools across the country, with a donation amount of more than 3,000 ten thousand yuan.
