Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition 2023 Tianjin Division Finals have concluded!
On September 15, the Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition 2023 Tianjin Division Finals concluded successfully at the Tianjin Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center. With the theme of “Tinmen Kunpeng·Born from Gathering”, this competition is guided by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, co-sponsored by the Tianjin Binhai High-tech Zone Management Committee and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and Tianjin Binhai High-tech Zone Boxin Innovation Exhibition Organized by Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, and co-organized by Tianjin Putian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Technology Co., Ltd., Tianbai·New Economic Base, and Great Wall Strategic Consulting Tianjin Zichuang District New Economic Research Institute, they will jointly create joint innovative solutions around the real needs of the industry. Plan to work with enterprises and developers to promote technological innovation in the computing industry and prosper the computing industry ecosystem.
The Tianjin competition area has a total prize amount of 315,000 yuan, focusing on the “Industry Application and Solution Innovation” track, covering the three industries of operators, finance, and pan-government, and is divided into “Kunpeng Native Application Innovation” and “Kunpeng All-in-One Solution” Two competition questions: “Program Innovation”. Since the registration channel was opened in May this year, a total of 45 teams and more than 150 developers have actively signed up, and 30 teams were finally selected to participate in this regional final. At the finals, Kunpeng ecological partners gathered together to discuss the technical advantages of Kunpeng software and hardware and the practical experience of Kunpeng application solutions in various industries.
As the top national competition focusing on Kunpeng’s full-stack root technology, the Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition has been held for four consecutive sessions since its inception in 2020. In order to allow the participating teams to better display their entries, the finals will be held in the form of a road show (work demonstration + defense). Before the roadshow started, Zhou Shengxi, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Tianjin Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Cui Tongxiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Tianjin Binhai High-tech Zone, and Zhang Yingying, general manager of Huawei’s Tianjin Industrial Development and Ecology Department, gave wonderful speeches in advance. This competition also specially invited industry experts from Advanced Computing and Key Software (Xinchuang) Haihe Laboratory, Tianjin University, Kirin Software Co., Ltd., Great Wall Strategic Consulting Tianjin Self-created Zone New Economic Research Institute, and senior evangelists from Huawei Kunpeng A professional review team strictly evaluates the entries from the four dimensions of innovation, technological leadership, business prospects and social value. For the two competition questions of “Kunpeng native application innovation” and “Kunpeng all-in-one solution innovation”, the top two teams were selected to represent Tianjin in the 2023 national semi-finals of the Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition. During the roadshow, participating companies actively competed in terms of technical strength and team innovation capabilities, and brainstorming sessions injected new leadership into industry upgrading.
Tianjin Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center was launched in Tianjin Binhai High-tech Zone in 2020. It is an important carrier for the implementation of Kunpeng computing industry in our city. As a diversion portal for industrial development, it provides good communication for the government, enterprises, universities, scientific research institutions and practitioners. The learning platform continues to introduce innovative resources and industrial vitality to promote the high-quality development of Tianjin’s information technology industry.
Huawei has always been adhering to the computing industry strategy of “open hardware, open source software, enabling partners, and developing talents” to build the Kunpeng computing industry ecosystem. As of now, there are more than 4,500 Kunpeng partners nationwide, more than 13,500 solutions have passed Kunpeng compatibility testing and certification, and 24 Kunpeng ecological innovation centers across the country have developed more than 2 million Kunpeng developers. Since its development in Tianjin, Tianjin Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center has connected with more than 600 ecological enterprises, incubated more than 400 information technology application and innovation projects, and trained more than 2,000 Kunpeng technical talents.
This competition will further deepen the cooperation between Huawei and Tianjin enterprises, use the advantages of Kunpeng platform to provide assistance to enterprises in technical services, talent training, solution innovation, etc., and drive more upstream and downstream enterprises to participate in the high-quality development of the industry. In the chain, we will incubate more high-quality innovative solutions, build a more dynamic Kunpeng computing industry ecosystem, contribute to the construction of Tianjin’s “China Information Innovation Valley” and promote the rapid development of Tianjin’s information technology industry.
