On October 23, China Life’s organizational working meeting was held in Beijing. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on party building, fully implemented the spirit of the National Organizational Work Conference, and arranged and deployed key organizational tasks for the current and future periods. Bai Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Life Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Cai Xiliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, and members of the Party Committee team attended the meeting at the main venue. Guo Xinshuang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chief Supervisor, presided over the meeting. Four units under the group, including life insurance company, China Guangfa Bank, asset company and property and casualty insurance company, gave exchange speeches to introduce party building and organizational work experience and practices, and put forward next-step work ideas and measures based on actual conditions.
Comrade Bai Tao delivered a speech at the meeting entitled “In-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on party building and strive to create a new situation for China Life’s organizational work in the new era.” He pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thought on party building is the general program for doing a good job in party building and organizational work in central financial enterprises. We must consciously connect this important thought with the actual development of China Life, and build a scientific system and We must comprehensively understand and accurately grasp the spiritual essence and practical requirements in three aspects: problem orientation and the mission of the times, so as to ensure that China Life’s party building and organizational work always moves forward firmly in the right direction guided by the General Secretary.
Comrade Bai Tao reviewed and concluded that China Life’s party building and organizational work has achieved results in recent years. The political construction has become stronger and more powerful, the employment orientation has become more fair and clear, the selection and appointment of people have become more precise and scientific, the grassroots foundation has become more solid, the innovation and reform have become more pragmatic and effective, and the system The system is more standardized and sound. At the same time, based on the new situation and new tasks of the company’s development, we conducted an in-depth analysis of outstanding problems in organizational work, requiring units at all levels of the system to view organizational work from a strategic and long-term perspective, and strive to make up for shortcomings and weaknesses. Comrade Bai Tao emphasized that party committees and organizational departments at all levels must solidly advance the party-building leadership strategy, firmly grasp the key points of work, and focus on four aspects of work at present and in the future:

It is necessary to continue to strengthen the party’s innovative theoretical arming, carry out in-depth thematic education, improve the long-term mechanism of theoretical learning, and transform learning results into concrete practices that fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee.
The second is to insist on establishing guidance and selecting talents, and achieve new results in forging a team of high-quality cadres who are worthy of the important task of building a world-class enterprise. It is necessary to coordinate and promote the construction of leadership teams at all levels, focus on the training and use of outstanding young cadres, clearly establish the orientation of emphasizing practice and hard work, and strive to improve the effectiveness of cadre supervision and management.
The third is to persist in optimizing the structure, improving vitality, and making new breakthroughs in the all-round introduction, training and utilization of talents. It is necessary to accelerate the construction of the scientific and technological talent team, make overall plans to fill in the shortcomings of various core professional talents, accelerate the construction of headquarters talent highlands, and continue to improve the talent development mechanism.
The fourth is to insist on grasping the grassroots and strengthening the foundation, and embody new responsibilities in enhancing the political and organizational functions of grassroots party organizations. It is necessary to further implement the responsibilities of grassroots party building work, further innovate party building work methods, further improve the quality of grassroots party building, and continuously improve organizational capabilities.
